Venetian Thrillers

(provisional working title)

Please find the links to the first 9 brief film script synopses of a series of 13 x 26’ docu-drama biopic re-enactments in costume provisionally entitled “Venetian Thrillers” further down on this page. My partners and I are planning to shoot the series in HDV on location in Venice. The films all regard true murder mysteries that occurred in and throughout the history of the Lagoon City.

Production costs: approximately 450.000,00 Euro per episode;
Total production budget around 6.000.000,00 Euro;

Up to date we have undertaken negotiations with the following as testimonials/presenters: Max von Sydow, Peter Falk, Donald Sutherland, Giancarlo Giannini, Sergio Rubini and Klaus Maria Brandauer, Bruno Ganz, Joachim Kròl – the British “anchor” could be Jeremy Irons or Ralph Fiennes.

We are planning to shoot “in the dark of the night and under a mantle of thick fog”, largely in the Venice autumn-winter season, not only to avoid the floods of tourists.

We sincerely hope the idea of the “Venetian Thrillers” project appeals to you and you might consider joining forces. The producers and artifex films have already invested considerable time and money in the project and are particularly confident that the project is commercially attractive. We believe it to be economically viable; it has considerable profit potential and will enhance the reputations of all parties associated with it. With such prerequisites and commitment by the producers it must be a shared risk worth taking.
